Ranch Rules
We are happy you are visiting the ranch and want you to have a wonderful time. To ensure a safe and rewarding experience, we ask that you, your children, and/or minors under your supervision observe the following rules.1. Everyone must sign a release before activities begin.
2. All children under the age of 16 MUST have adult supervision at all times.
3. No one is allowed behind the game fence without permission and must be accompanied by ranch staff
4. Water activities
Swimming is allowed in the creek but no lifeguard is provided. Swim at your own risk.
Absolutely no water activities without parental supervision for children under the age of 16.
Anyone under the age of 13 is required to use a lifejacket.
5. Fishing - All fishing is catch and release. This will allow others to enjoy great fishing in the future.
6. Hiking & Biking
The ranch has many beautiful acres in which to enjoy trees, natural creeks & draws, grasslands, and stunning views. We strongly encourage you to enjoy this natural beauty but please know that there are inherent dangers with the native hill country including but not limited to, cliffs with sharp drop-offs, steep inclines with loose rocks, poisonous snakes, and native wild animals.
Hiking & Biking are encouraged, but do so at your own risk.
Practice the buddy system – always take a friend with you.
If you are biking, you are required to wear a helmet at all times
7. Fossils
Many fossils exist on the ranch. So that others may enjoy finding fossils, we ask that you do not take any home with you. Use the Motto “Leave it where it lies” so that all can enjoy.
8. Firearms – Firearms may only be used during official ranch shooting activities.
Personal firearms must be kept in your locked vehicle when not in use.
All firearms must remain unloaded except while in use at the shooting range
9. Alcohol - No alcohol is served or allowed at the FFR.
10. Food & Drinks – Please keep food & drinks in the common areas only.
11. All buildings and facilities are non-smoking
12. Please put all trash, bottles, cans, etc. in trashcans.
13. If something gets broken, please tell us so that we can repair it in a timely mannerThe FFR is a family ranch that has great amenities and is located on a beautiful piece of property. Our family will be serving yours during your stay, please return the personal service by treating the facilities and the land with the utmost respect. Please leave things the way you found them or better. We are excited to have you at the Franklin Family Ranch. God bless you.
