A favorite past time at the FFR is simply relaxing. Nothing beats catching a wink in the hammock or taking a walk on the grounds and observing this beautiful creation. However, if you want a little more activity than that, the FFR can certainly accommodate you.

The FFR is home to fifteen different species of native & exotic
animals. You can view the beautiful black buck antelope, which is
native to the plains of India; a European fallow deer known for its
palmed antlers; the African, scimitar horned oryx; the white tail deer,
native to Texas and many more. 
Fishing
Kids and adults alike are almost guaranteed to catch something at the FFR. Our creek and ponds are stocked with catfish, bass and bream just waiting for you to wet a hook. Bring your rod and enjoy! (All fishing is catch and release)
Sports

Many of our guests enjoy the open field just
behind the Main Lodge. It is ideal for football, softball, soccer,
Frisbee throwing and kite flying. In fact, the field is large enough
to have 2 or more games simultaneously. For children we offer a playscape that has 3 swings, a slide and a fort. Families can also enjoy paddleboat rides on the creek. (Life vest required) For real sports enthusiasts we have a covered sports court which includes full or half court basketball, volleyball, tennis hit back, kids games, and a batting cage. |
Clay Targets
Try your hand at shooting clay targets on our gun range. A member of our staff will accompany you to the range and provide instruction and a safe environment in which to sharpen your shooting skills. Additional costs apply. Please specify desire to use these facilities at time of booking your reservation.
Hiking and
Bike Trails
We have many beautiful trails that are just perfect for an outdoor
excursion. Whether it’s hiking or biking, enjoy the multiple level of
trails spread out over 2000 beautiful Hill Country acres. Many roads and
trails are smooth and clear while others are rough and rugged. The FFR has plenty of roads and trails to satisfy. Bring your own
mountain bike or rent one from the FFR.
Indoor Activities
For those who prefer to be indoors, enjoy our game room with a pool table, air hockey table, dominoes, cards or board games. You can also enjoy a sporting event on either one of the two big screen TV’s at the Main Lodge, or you can just hang out and visit in one of the many common areas throughout our facilities.
